Ralf Bliem works as experienced architect and researcher at the intersection point of architecture, modular object integration and the transfer to digital manufacturing processes.

Pixelkompressor is the research and design studio founded by Ralf Bliem in Berlin early 2013.

Since 2017 based in Vienna, Pixelkompressor and the Biotop – Collective share their paths with their mission to interconnect science and design.

As a co-founder of Biotop, Ralf Bliem was granted a EFRE fund in late 2018 to encourage a modular interior design, developed at the intersection point between science and architecture.

In 2020 Studio Bliem was re-established with a dependance in the south of Austria. The Studios operation fields encompass modular interior, computational architecture, concept design and streamlined digital manufacturing processes with local artisan and manufacturer.

Projects are located all over Europe and range from lab interiors, commercial interiors, exhibition design, office renovations to mid scale architecture projects.
